Oswego Park District is definitely creating opportunities for a healthy community with their recent capital improvement project. Winrock Park playground renovation was recently completed in Oswego, Illinois. The playground is situated right next to the new Winrock Pool which hosts competitive swim meets, swim lessons, and open swim. According to professional landscape architect, Chad Feldotto, ASLA, Director of Planning for Oswego Park District, a “water themed” playground felt very appropriate for the area and the GameTime Powerscape Schooner play structurereally worked out great. The design is completed with poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing that looks like a dock to walk out to the ship play structure, waves of blue water, two beaches, and one giant yellow koi fish for kids to enjoy while swinging. The play area also features a very popular alligator climber, as well as interactive play panels.

The Osweland Park District’s marketing departed posted photos and a short video clip of the GT Expression Swing on their FaceBook page and they reported they have never seen this type of response and excitement before. Congratulations to the Oswego Parks District on such an outstanding playground project. Click here to see additional images.
