Charlie Thames

Charlie Thames represents Cunningham Recreation in South Texas. Before joining our team, Charlie previously worked with various golf courses, landscapers, municipalities and school districts providing them with John Deere turf equipment. Before that, Charlie spent 12 years as an educator/coach, at the high school level, teaching English and Special Education classes while coaching football and baseball.

Charlie is looking forward to continuing to work with schools and municipalities, and other industry partners, to help create opportunities for everyone to enjoy play and fitness at every season of life. Being a coach and former collegiate/professional baseball player, he understands the importance of providing opportunities to those with a lifelong pursuit to stay healthy and active.

Charlie lives outside the Austin area with his wife and three daughters. His oldest daughter is playing soccer at Angelo State, while his other two daughters keep him busy participating in volleyball and soccer. In his spare time, he enjoys everything outdoors.
