South Carolina School for the Deaf located in Spartanburg, South Carolina is a large sensory rich playground that addresses the whole child and the six elements of play in its design. The playground consists of two GameTime play structures with lots of fun play components and sensory rich activities including the worm-hole, rockscape climber and slides. The playground also includes integrated shade and many freestanding play elements--- arch saucer swing, Merry-GO-ALL, swings, Zero G adaptive swing seats, a Discovery Cave and site furnishings.The play area is completed with poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing, and utilizes vibrant welcoming color choices.
