Edward Kennedy Ellington Elementary School playground in Chicago, Illinois, Chicago Public Schools, consists of two play structures and poured rubber safety surfacing. The natural color scheme and the various overhead climbers and vine climbers give the 5-12 age structure a nature feel. Similar to climbing trees and playing in a natural setting. The 2-5 structure also done in natural color palette has a ramp, slides and timber slat roof which also gives it a treehouse/clubhouse look. A small play house is included in the 2-5 play area.
