Project Overview
The NPS CAL Center in Norman, Oklahoma, features a thoughtfully designed playground created specifically for children ages 2–5, providing opportunities for active play, exploration, and early childhood development.
The centerpiece of the play area is the GameTime PrimeTime Modular Unit for ages 2–5, designed to encourage climbing, movement, and imaginative play while helping young children develop coordination, balance, and confidence. Additional play features, including the Duo Spinner and 2-Bay Xscape Swing, add opportunities for spinning, swinging, and social interaction, creating a well-rounded play experience for preschool-aged children.
The playground also incorporates a combination of GT Impax poured-in-place safety surfacing, synthetic turf surfacing, and engineered wood fiber, providing durable and accessible play surfaces that support safe movement and long-term use. Concrete curbing, drainage improvements, and site preparation further enhance the functionality and longevity of the play space.
