Project Overview
The NPA CAL Center in Norman, Oklahoma, features a thoughtfully designed early childhood playground created specifically for young children. Every element encourages safe exploration, sensory development, and age-appropriate physical activity while providing caregivers with a comfortable place to engage alongside young children.
At the heart of the playground is the GameTime ECHO Toddler play structure, designed to support early climbing, crawling, and exploration in a developmentally appropriate environment. Interactive features, including Tot's Gizmos, the Tot's Lo Stratus Climber, Bingo's Playhouse, the Seek & Explore Discovery Table, and the Me & You Activity Center, promote sensory discovery, imaginative play, communication, and fine motor skill development.
A large 50' x 48' hip shade structure provides extensive protection from the sun, creating a more comfortable environment for children, caregivers, and educators throughout the day. The playground also features a combination of GT Impax poured-in-place safety surfacing and synthetic turf safety surfacing, offering durable, accessible play surfaces that support inclusive use while enhancing safety.
