Project Overview
Buckhorn Elementary School located at 5621 Honeycutt Road in Holly Springs, North Carolina is part of the Wake County School District and has three new play areas. The first area serves Pre-K and features a GameTime Xscape unit with shade, music and poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing. GT Jams, slides, GT ShadowPlay Flower and wormhole are just a few of the fun play components in this space. The K-2 play space consists of a Powerscape unit featuring GT ShadowPlay roof, sensory climber, play panels and slides. This play area also includes the GT medium sensory dome and GT Symphony with poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing. The 3rd-5th grade area includes GT Ionix unit with slide, various climbers and upper body strength events as well as a Merry-Go-ALL. This area too is completed with a circular bench around a tree and poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing. Great play spaces with age appropriate play events for skill development, fun and challenge.
