Project Overview
The playground at Charlotte-Douglas Airport, located in Charlotte, NC, is a unique airport themed playground featuring a PrimeTime Modular 2-5 play unit and a PowerScape Modular 5-12 play unit with Altus X2 Tower Spiral Slide and 4’ Spiral Stairs, Horizontal Loop Ladder Link, Overhead Climber Ladder, Arch Bridge, Double Zip Slide, Double Swerve Slide, Spiral Step Climber and Cliff Wall Climber. The playground also features a Frog Slide Puzzle Gadget and Inclusive Whirl, along with fun airport play components, including a custom Air Traffic Control Tower, Airplane Climber, Luggage Cart, Fuel Truck Climber, and Sea Plane 2-Person Spring Rider. The playground is completed with Poured-in-Place (PIP) safety surfacing with airport themed graphics.
