Project Overview
Carolina Forest Playground in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, brings an exciting ocean-themed play experience to children of all ages and abilities. Sea life-inspired elements, including whales, sea turtles, pelicans, and colorful jellyfish, create an imaginative setting for climbing, exploration, and sensory play.
Designed with inclusive experiences throughout the space, the playground encourages children to play and connect together. Musical and sensory elements, accessible slides, inclusive swings, and a variety of shaded gathering spaces create a welcoming destination for families and the entire community.
As a National Demonstration Site for both Play On! and Inclusive Play, Carolina Forest Playground showcases how thoughtful design can create meaningful play experiences where every child has the opportunity to participate.
