Omar Gonzalez

Omar Gonzalez brings a diverse background in architecture, construction, design and sales to Cunningham Recreation. His territory will consist of Waller, Fort Bend and west Harris counties in Texas. He is a graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in Architecture. Omar began his career working on high-rise projects designed by internationally recognized firms Foster + Partners and Pickard Chilton. His professional journey also includes sales experience with Caterpillar, founding his own residential design and development company, and most recently working with John Deere before joining Cunningham Recreation.

Omar believes that connecting the built environment with the surrounding landscape while incorporating unique and thoughtfully designed spaces creates meaningful opportunities for people to interact, connect, and build lasting relationships. He is passionate about the responsibility of design to create environments that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also inspire a sense of peace, security, belonging, and personal growth. He looks forward to bringing this philosophy to Cunningham Recreation by helping communities create engaging outdoor spaces that encourage play, connection, and active lifestyles.

Omar lives in the Houston area with his wife of 18 years and their two children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, acrylic painting, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
