Scott Cunningham, President CEO

Scott is a third generation playground professional that has been in the playground business since 1993. During that time he has overseen the design and installation of thousands of playgrounds and manages one of the industry’s largest sales teams representing park and recreation equipment in 17 states. He has also taught several playground safety seminars where he has trained playground maintenance staff members to develop comprehensive playground safety plans.

Scott enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and all things sports.

Diane Willis, VP of Operations

Diane brings more than 15 years of experience in the playground and recreation industry, all of which began right here at Cunningham Recreation. Starting her career as a Project Manager, she quickly developed a passion for creating meaningful play spaces and a talent for coordinating complex projects with precision and care. Her dedication, leadership, and deep operational knowledge paved the way for her advancement to Vice President of Operations. Throughout her career, Diane has overseen countless playground projects from concept to completion. Her favorite part of the job—and the reason she continues to love what she does—is witnessing the pure excitement and joy on children’s faces when they see and experience a new playground for the first time and creating a lasting impact through thoughtful design and safe, inclusive play spaces for the community.

Lisa Schenk, VP of Design

With 28 years in the park and playground industry, Lisa Schenk oversees Cunningham Recreation’s design department, managing a skilled team of project managers and designers. Her expertise spans park and playground design, layouts, bidding, estimating, and pricing, ensuring every project is delivered with precision and creativity.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. A lifelong sports fan, she also loves cheering on her favorite teams and spending time outdoors.

Michele Breakfield, Director Of Marketing

With 26 years of experience in the park and playground industry, including 9 years in playground sales and 17 years in marketing, Michele Breakfield brings a well-rounded perspective to her role as Director of Marketing for Cunningham Recreation. She manages a talented marketing team of five, leading strategic initiatives in trade show coordination, corporate communications, event planning, branding, digital marketing, and lead generation.

Michele holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. Residing in Farmington, MO with her husband, she enjoys spending her free time traveling, trail riding horses in various states and national parks, and creating lasting memories with her family.

Victoria Babb, Community Resource Director

Victoria Babb leads Cunningham Recreation’s community initiatives, including Play 4 ALL and Healing Communities Through Play™, promoting inclusive play and fitness spaces nationwide. A certified PlayCore instructor and national presenter, she helps communities plan and fund meaningful recreation projects. Inspired by her nephew Brendan, Victoria is dedicated to ensuring equitable access to play for all ages and abilities.

In her spare time, Victoria enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and spending quality time with her family. She values making lasting memories and finding inspiration through her adventures and connections with others.

Jason Kavorik, Regional Sales Manager East

Jason Kovarik, CPSI, is a regional sales manager for Cunningham Recreation with approximately 17 years of experience in the playground industry. He has managed hundreds of projects from conceptual phase to completion. Jason can provide customers with knowledgeable park and playground solutions within your budget and project timeline. He currently manages our eastern regional sales force including NC, SC, MD, VA, WV, DE, and DC.

Jason resides in Greensboro, NC with his wife and two children. He enjoys getting outdoors with his kids, mountain biking and playing golf in his spare time.

Nick Whisenhunt, Regional Sales Manager

Nick began his career in the playground industry working for GameTime where his duties included marketing and assisting with volunteer installations. He joined the Cunningham Recreation team in 2009 covering his home state of Oklahoma, and is now the regional sales manager for Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. A Certified Playground Safety Inspector with over 18 years of experience in the playground industry, Nick brings a unique perspective having worked in the manufacturing, installation and sales sectors of the industry.

Nick resides in Oklahoma City with his wife and two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and other outdoor activities.

Renee Beard, Regional Sales Manager Midwest

With nearly two decades in the playground industry, Renee Beard has dedicated her career to helping communities create vibrant, inclusive play spaces where children and families can connect, explore, and thrive. Now, as the Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Cunningham Recreation, she is excited to take on this new leadership role—guiding and supporting a talented team while continuing to foster strong partnerships with schools, municipalities, and organizations across the region. Her team covers IL, MO, KS, TN, IA, NE and SD.

Renee’s passion for play extends beyond just equipment; she believes in the power of well-designed spaces to enrich lives and bring communities together.

Based in Peoria, Illinois, Renee is a mother to two incredible young men, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and practicing yoga.
