Project Overview
Malesus Park in Jackson, Tennessee, was transformed into a welcoming destination for active outdoor recreation through the 2023 GameTime Matching Funds Grant. The playground features a GameTime PrimeTime Modular Play Structure for Ages 5–12, creating opportunities for climbing, exploration, and imaginative play while encouraging children to stay active and build confidence.
The play space includes a variety of interactive features, including a three-bay swing set, Saucer Swing, ground-level Talk Tubes, and a freestanding Solo Music Panel, providing children with opportunities for social interaction, sensory engagement, and inclusive play experiences. Accessibility improvements, including an Access PlayCurb, help create a welcoming environment for children of varying abilities.
Finished with GT-Impax Engineered Wood Fiber safety surfacing and bordered for long-term durability, the playground offers a safe and engaging place where families can gather, children can make lasting memories, and the community can enjoy quality outdoor recreation.
