Project Overview
Parkview Heights Park in Bluefield, Virginia, offers an exciting all-ages playground destination designed for adventure, inclusion, and community connection. Separate play areas for children ages 2–5 and 5–12 provide age-appropriate experiences, while a massive net climber with an integrated slide creates a signature attraction that encourages climbing, exploration, and confidence-building.
The playground also features a variety of swings, including Expression Swings that promote inclusive side-by-side play, along with a nature-inspired play area for younger children. Expansive shade structures, accessible sidewalks, and thoughtfully designed gathering spaces make the park comfortable and welcoming for families throughout the year.
Recognized as a National Demonstration Site (NDS), Parkview Heights Park showcases the value of inclusive, active outdoor recreation while creating opportunities for children of all abilities to play, connect, and thrive together.
