Gordon Moore Park located in Alton, Illinois is a GameTime/Playcore National Demonstration Site for Inclusion. The playground is located just inside the entrance to the park, 4550 College Ave., on the east side of Tavernier Way by the Workers’ Memorial. The inclusive playground project was part of the IPRA Active Play Grant in partnership with GameTime, and Phillips 66 made a large community donation. Play 4 ALL helped engage the community and capture resources to complete the project. The playground includes a play structure with lots of engaging play components - conifer tree toppers, Kidnetix Triangle bridge, vine climber, river rock climber, sensory climber link, various slides, sensory bridge panels, boulder steppers and more. It also has a custom GFRC Eagle post topper.
Other items on this inclusive playground are the Merry-GO-ALL, Arch saucer swing, swings, Zero G seats, GT Expression Swing, and poured rubber safety surfacing. The play structure is fully ramped for complete accessibility. Timber slat roofs complete the natural look and feel of the play area. Shaded benches can be found on the perimeter of the play area.
