Project Overview
Cooke Park in Galesburg, Illinois, features a modern playground designed to encourage active movement, social interaction, and inclusive outdoor play. The centerpiece is the Shady Springs play structure for ages 5–12, offering climbing, sliding, and exploration opportunities that support imaginative and physical play.
Additional features like the Inclusive Whirl and three-bay swing set create engaging motion-based experiences for children of varying abilities, while benches throughout the space provide comfortable gathering areas for families and caregivers. Together, these elements create a welcoming community playground built for connection, recreation, and everyday play. This project is complete with Poured in Place safety surfacing.
