Project Overview
The All Abilities Playground in Edwardsville, Illinois, is designed to create a welcoming play experience where children of all abilities can learn, explore, and play together. Centered around a large PowerScape playground, the space offers opportunities for climbing, imaginative play, sensory exploration, and active movement in an inclusive environment.
Interactive features such as a dedicated music play area, communication board, Inclusive Whirl, RoxAll See Saw, and accessible play experiences encourage children to connect, collaborate, and build confidence through play. Shaded seating, picnic tables, and gathering areas provide comfortable spaces for families and caregivers to relax while enjoying the park.
Recognized as a National Demonstration Site (NDS) for both Play On! and Inclusive Play, this playground showcases how thoughtful design can create meaningful recreational opportunities for everyone.
