VRPS Partnership Brings MORE Recreation and Play Spaces to Virginia

We would consider our first funding initiative in the state of Virginia a BIG success. The funding initiative developed in partnership with GameTime and VRPS, will provide matching funds for the development of 20 new park and recreation spaces throughout the state of Virginia. The educational component of the funding initiative presented by PlayCORE, provided CEU-qualified training sessions at four host cities during March and April of this year.

A competitive essay style application process was completed and grants were awarded. We would like to congratulate our awardees listed below.

Virginia is our fourth state educational funding initiative, and GameTime's sixth. These new parks will be designated as National Demonstration Sites and provide data collection and outcomes reporting for VRPS and their members at the 2018 annual conference. We look forward to seeing these new recreational areas throughout the state.
